I recently just got myself a 1999 3.2 diesel 5 door from Japan and it has the mmcs screen and CD changer etc. Id like to be able to get more than just the few radio channels due to bandwidth and have Bluetooth head unit put in but my question is this, can this be done and keep the mmcs screen? I’d like to keep it for the temperature info and the reverse camera etc. Could I just take out the CD changer and put the head unit in that space but keep the rest of it and have it still operate or am I looking at something completely different? Cheers.

To bluetooth from my phone for spotify etc i just plugged in a Bluetooth/ fm transmitter in to the 12v socket in the boot. Works well.
Only thing is to re- tune the transmitter to a different frequency- which 99% of poeple don't  do - as if you leave it on 87.5 you will sometimes pick up other peoples music in traffic. I tune mine to 87.8
