Hi all - My 2001 Pajero sport has a knock from the rear. I have had 2 new driveshafts and cv's fitted but still persists. Sounds like a worn cv joint would sound when turning a corner. Knocking gets faster the faster I go. Seems to disappear when I have a heavy load on board. Is fitted with airbag suspension. Two suspension specialists can't pin it down but one says it may be my diff. Anyone else had this issue?

Are the driveshaft nuts tight enough?   Its not uncommon for them to be loose enough to let the driveshaft move in and out slightly

Yoke on the transfer case with worn supporting bushing letting it flop around a bit? Does having air springs in this case also mean the suspension is self-leveling and ride height doesn't change with load?

Have you figured out the source of the knock? My friend is looking at this Pajero with new driveshafts and recently developed a knocking noise intermittently. We'll inspect it soon after we finish installing the suspension from 4Wheelonline onto the truck.
