Mornings good peoples,
Quick one…. Can anyone tell me if the courtesy door switches are a common item between the MK3 and the MK4? I have a dicky switch that I would like to replace but finding one for a MK4 isn’t as easy as to a MK3.
Ta muchly

Most generic switches will fit and its a straight on/off switch and if you take it off I bet the contacts just wan't cleaning and this is an easy job to do.

Thanks Assassin, I actually did just what you advised and all now working okay. It was giving me problems with the car locking after 30 seconds even with the door open. I thought it may be wise to buy a spare or two.
Cheers

Can you get a small spray can of Waxoyl? if so remove the switch and spray it as it is electrically inert and prevents the contacts from corroding and a spray every couple of years will make it last almost indefinately.
