I have a 1996 Mitsubishi Shogun 3.0 SWB Petrol model (that I love and is pretty much indestructable!)

On the way home yesterday, an Amber warning light came on just below the rev counter (see image).
After querying online, it looked to be related to the coolant system.
Interestingly, on yesterday's journey home there had been no increase in the water temperature, nor any obvious smells, so went about the basic fault finding.
1) Check radiator - Fully topped up.
2) Top up reservoir - Fluid to midway mark.
Took off the reservoir cap and removed the uptake hose, this was blocked, cleaned out, checked other two connecting hoses, then replaced everything.

Turned the vehicle over and the light was still on. A little perplexed, I assumed that there was maybe another blockage somewhere, or maybe a faulty sensor
that would require booking in at the local garage.

Before doing so, one last double check online. I then found a similar article on here in the POCUK forums where it was suggested that this light in fact was related to the
water reservoir for the front headlamps.   And sure enough, that's exactly what is was. Topped up, no more light!

How completely surreal that there is an amber light - for the headlamp reservoir that looks like a cooling issue!!

Anyways - pic enclosed just in case anyone else walks this path.

Ok - adding an attachment appears not to work - ask if you want to see the symbol.
