Hi, I'm new to the forum with a 2011 Mk4 Shogun SG3 3.2 diesel. Had it 2 years and seems to be pretty reliable at 110k on the clock.

For a while now, the alarm has been randomly going off in the night which doesn't go down well with neighbours!. I want to cut the wire to the siren, as I don't want an alarm anyway, but still want the remote to lock and unlock the doors.
I set the alarm off this morning to try and locate the siren so I can disable it, but the thing is so loud the sound could be coming from anywhere!

Please could anyone let me know where the alarm siren is on my car? Also, does anyone have a photo of what it looks like?

Try in the engine compartment next to the bulkhead on the lhs under a gold metal plate.
