|
|
Hi, I'm new here. I've just now signed up because there's a possibility that I may be buying a mk1 LWB Pajero in order to tow a 2.5 ton twin axle trailer.
I've spent some time trying to find information and believe that the 4 holes behind the bumper that the guy currently has his tow bar bolted to are in fact for a recovery eye rated to only 1500kg.
So, I'm of the understanding that there is a 'proper' HD tow bar available that bolts up to the chassis rails as well as that recovery point, although I can't find one for sale anywehre.
My question is, should there already be holes in the chassis rails to fit this kind of set up? Oh, and would anyone know where to get one if I can't find any on eBay? ie specialist suppliers?
Many thanks in advance!
