I have a Pajero GLX 2006 ( launched in India with 2.8 4m40 engine). I recently moved to another city and had a bad experience with a garage, I am currently sorting out a few issues. There is this one cable that I cant figure out what it is, next to the rear axle. Anybody knows what it could be thanks in advance.

Hi - i have this connector in my 1.8T GDI Pajero IO - similar place, but no cable plugged into it. I initially thought it was for a missing O2 sensor or possible a EGT sensor but im not so sure. Any ideas very welcome. I can’t see any reference to it in any documentation. Can’t link a pic but is a 2 pin oval connector  with an orange centre prong.

When they built these they included a full wiring loom and a full wiring loom is one where they wired for every optional extra fitted to the vehicle.

If the options were fitted to the vehicle they simply plugged them in and if they weren't fitted you had the spare wires. Different markets had different options and it was cheaper and easier to install one wiring loom so many markets not fitting that option had the spare wires.
