The screen in my 2010 mk4 LWB must have been replaced prior to my ownership (and not a very good job)

Consequently the rubber trim moulding that fills the gap between screen and frame came loose and started flapping about on a long motorway journey leading me to pulling it off (with not much resistance) and stashing it in the boot.

I’ll ring Mitsubishi to enquire about a new one on Monday

However, does anyone know how it should correctly be fitted? I assume bonded in with the windscreen such that it isn’t coming out again without a fight? Does the screen need to come out to properly refit the rubber?

Thanks

Wow it’s dead on here these days

To answer my own question, the seal is fitted to the screen before the lot is bonded in to the car. So a new seal is needed with each new windscreen.
