I have a 2004  Petrol, auto,3.5L V6 model (only 83k). I had the manifold rewired last year from mouse damage and since then the engine light has been permanently on. I have taken car to three garages including Mitsubishi. The first diagnostics at Mitsubishi found EGR fault code. They removed and cleaned EGR and code removed. They also found injector 1 code and advised replacement. I took it to my local garage who checked injectors and said all good but their diagnostics found just the P0403 fault code and advised of EGR valve replacement. I am reading on these forums that replacing EGR valves does not always help the véhicule and because I am looking to sell my car I do not know what work to have done as having also spoken to a Mitsubishi specialist - Mitsiland in Manchester I am told my petrol shogun shouldn’t even have an EGR in it so I am left a bit perplexed about whether this is the real reason why my engine light is on? I have had the car for 11 years and am it’s 2nd owner and never had any issues with the véhicule until the mouse camped out in the engine (and Mitsubishi did not find the nest my local mechanic did). Any advise on whether I should replace my EGR or even cylinder when both are clean ? I have already spent money on 3 diagnostics and , 2 mots and re- wiring and I just want to get this engine light off but be clear on why it is in. The car has passed the Mot this week and garage say nothing else appears out of place in the engine?

Thanks
Anna
