So, I am looking for my first 4x4 vehicle, in this case a pajero. I am not entirely sure how to best do this but here's my main concerns:
How can I avoid being tricked regarding the vehicle condition? What should I look for?
Where I live the prices of the MK1 and MK2 are somewhat similar. Which one should I purchase? I know the main difference seems to be the super select, is this worth forgetting the MK1 as an option?(I much prefer the MK1 in aesthetics)
Generally they are found with at least 200.000 KMS. Is this too much?
Any other information that you can provide, it will be much appreciated!
Thank you everyone, I'm glad I found this place! |

hello. there is a guide here which will help a lot.
http://www.pocuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=152950.
I had a Mk1, 2.3 excluding a piano it was the slowest thing on four wheels. But I still wanted to bet another mk1 after the first one was stolen. I could not find a good mk1 that was not rotten. So I got a MK2 2.8 I am more than happy that I got the . Lke you I still prefer the looks of the MK1.
Mileage depends on how an owner has looked after the vehicle. My current 2.8 has nearly 200.000 miles on it. Still sounds as good as when I got it nearly twenty years ago. Although I do not do any off road stuff I have used the four wheel drive often towing trailers in the wet, mud and ice. I never really noticed much difference in ability apart from a lack of power in the 2.3
Good luck with finding a good one |
