A few weeks back I went ti start my truck and it just kept turning over?
I gave done “everything” I can think of but ti no avail.
It is in garage now and they say it’s getting to much fuel? Pump has just been fully reconditioned and they have had to turn it down to try to get mix right.
Everything that could be replaced ,has been,,yet it sounds like a bag of spammers and smokes like a chimney.
It NEVER ever did this until a few weeks ago.
Can anyone help please .

If the pump has been reconditioned I can't imagine why they are trying to turn down the mixture whatever that means, Sounds like you need another mechanic to me.
As you say it is running but like a bag of spanners in my experiance on your model it usually means the timing is not correct and usually caused by the balance shaft belt coming adrift and getting caught under the timing belt resulting in timing being out. Air leaking into the fuel system can cause bad running. You need to check all the connections for security make sure the filter housing is airtight, including the bleed screw washer. The other thing maybe the EGR although that usually causes trouble after normal temperature is reached. You can check that (if it has one) by just disconnecting it and see how it runs. |

Hi
Timing has been done and redone twice. New belts. All lines are ok . Egr blanked off years ago. They are turning the mix on pump down to try to see if it’s the reason for over fuelling? It was reconditioned and they updated it by 10%. |

Strange how this all started a month ago by just being a non starter??? I thought by me replying things,I would’ve eliminating problems. There surely can’t be that much to change or check?
So far I have..
New fuel lines.
Reconditioned the pump.
Glow plugs.
Injectors
Fuel filter.
New turbo.
All belts and coolant.
New clutch.
Air filter.
We know fuel is coming from tank to engine . See it through fuel lines. If it stopped running a month ago ,,after being used daily,,and I have changed all these things,,what’s left??? |

Only other thing I can think of is some valve problem like cracked/Broken cam caps. Does not seem likely to be rings or pistons as it was running ok before. Hope someone else has some other ideas |
