|
|
Got in to our 2006 LWB tonight to go pick up my daughter in town and the padded armrest slid off in to the back seat.
Looks like all 4 screws that hold it on have just disappeared .. will have a look tomorrow when it's light but weird they all just let go.
Or could it have been glued on?

The screws often just shake loose if the armrest has prevopusly been removed ad from the factory the screws are coated and bond themselves in and if someone removes them it breaks the bond allows them to shake loose over time.
Are the old screws visible in the bottom of your centre console and if so they have shook free, if not they have been removed and never replaced and electrical screws fit so its electrical factors time to get the correct screws and check the threads have not been stripped; install each screw loosely and remove each screw individually and apply a dab of superglue before quckly tightening it, repeat with the remaining screws and you will have thread locked screws back. |

I found two little black foam buttons in the center console but didn't see any screws.
Need to dig to the bottom to see if the screws are down a there but they must be.
Hoping I find the originals but the electrical screw recommendation is a good one.
Thanks! |

Found all 4 screws in the bottom of the centre console. Re-installed so normal service has resumed. |

Remove the screws one by one and drop a couple of drops of superglue into the hole and refit quickly, then remove and glue the next screw and repeat with all the screws, wont shake loose again. |
