How easy are the front outer CVJ boots to replace on a 2005 3.2DiD automatic?
Any useful tips that anyone can offer?
I did a front lower ball joint replacement last autumn and it was an utter pig, mainly wrestling the joint from between the bottom wishbone and the hub carrier... and then getting the various components reassembled. If it's as brutal a job I'll need to find a mechanic! |

0K, so I've replaced a few CVJ boots on an old VW Golf which was simply a matter of disconnecting the driveshaft at the inboard flange joint, removing the crimped single use retaining nut from the hub outer end, lowering the inboard end and then extract. Removing the outer CVJ required extracting a retaining circlip. All relatively benign and not requiring any specialist equipment etc.
Is the Mitsubishi similarly straight forward?
