Hello there,

I have been have long an issue with my gearbox engaging the dcc solenoid to lock the torque converter.

I have an obd tool (I am completely unqualified, and if I do/doing anything wrong please let me know) and performed an actuation test. It seemed to work, but only reached 56% actuation, but I’m guessing this is normal as a car was stationary. I then recorded data off the ATECU whilst driving and noticed that the vehicle speed sensor value was reading 0 km/h. I also checked the engine ECU and the ABS system to see if speed values were being read and everything seemed fine.

Could this be the problem to my transmission not locking? how could I go about fixing this? I’m at the point where I might just give up and take my findings to the mechanic and have him fix it.

I’m unsure as to how significant the absence of a speed signal is on the ATECU as well. Looking at diagrams post 2008 Shogun don’t have a speed signal wire into the ATECU but the 2007 model does. My shogun is an 08 plate but I suspect it was built late 2007. Please tell me how wrong or right I am.
