Ok ladys and gents I have a very strange problem 1995 2.8 lwb mk2
So up until yesterday, the central locking from the key and the central locking from the fob was working perfectly fine,
after pressure washing the underside of the doors. I think I’ve killed something as now the key will only unlock the drivers door, but the fob still activates the remote central locking, even more strange is if I use the other key and place that in the ignition, and then use a key in the door, the central locking will work, so the central locking won’t work off the key in the door but will work if the ignition is on and works all the time off the key fob, I’m assuming power washing water has gotten into the drivers door and dislodged a wire |

I'd think it more likely water is causing a short-circuit - surely the pressure wash wasn't able to force water to the solenoid sufficiently to dislodge a connector? |

Yes It's absolutely possible that water has caused a short-circuit, as the pressure wash might not have been able. |

So today the locking started working off the key for a short time then stopped again then started again so I suspect a good few days of sun and it will be fine |
