Hi, the other month I replaced cylinder head on shogun 2.8 td, also fitted new injectors to finish job off right as it would then have complete new top end. After just over 200 miles the timing chain snapped at low speed without any warning, vehicle was towed home and is now sat in a sorry state. Is it a big job to replace timing chain and what other damage could be done. Will I have to remove head again or do I cut my losses n get shut as spares or repair.
Any help or advice please

will have deffo clobbered a couple of valves and bent the stems...

depending how hard it hit may of broke a couple of cam caps too..

it will mean head off again so new gasket new valves and valve stems re-shimmed.

if the chain has fell down inside the timing case that will have to come off too...

if you decide to do the repair while the timing case is off it would be a good idea

to replace the front crank oil seal while your there ... Crying or Very sad
