Hi, does anyone know where I can get new gears for the differential as I need to rebuild mine as I have previously replaced it so now want to know if it is better to refurbish it instead.
Many thanks
Everyone

The symptoms of the diff are rear prop shaft spins but no drive to the rear wheels so guessing it is the crown that has failed and the rear wheels are free and not locked up

Drain the diff down and remove the rear steel cover and you can see inside, it may be the flanges have snapped, the diff input chaft has smapped or the gears have been stripped off the crown wheel.

When you look you can identify the problem and ascertain the cause, maybe it id just the crown wheel and pinion you need and this is a bolt in job, or maybe it is cheaper to go for a secondhand or reconditioned unit.
