Hi just did a spot of welding on the rear exhaust and the heat shield above the rear silencer fell to pieces, its completly gone. Does anybody know where to get one or do i actually need it? The flimsy 3 brackets that hold it on have also died and cannot be reused. Has any body else encounted this and how did you fix it?
Many Thanks

Actually its easy Simon, I use stainless steel plate of 0.5mm thichness and cut it on the guillotine and bend it to the correct profile and make new mounting brackets on mild steel for the body and stainless mointing brackets for the new heat shield, I line it all up and overlap the stainless mounting brackets with the mild steel mounting brackets and drill through them and bolt them together.
