Just acquired a Kenwood KDC 91R CD player.
Yes, I know it's ancient but a good 'period' fitting for the Metro Cabrio.
My question is about the wiring:-
Speakers have purple/purple&black for one channel and white/white&black for the other. The unit has balance and fade features so how do you get 4 speakers to operate with side to side and front to back on this set up?
Other leads are Red - with a 75amp fuse (Although the cable doesn't look able to take such a current)
Blue with a 1 amp fuse and Yellow with a 3 amp fuse. I would expect IGN power, constant power and panel lights to connect to these but which is which?
Any sparkies out there with a Kenwood wiring diagram? |

A5 Blue/white - Power control
A7 Red - Ignition (ACC)
A8 Black - Earth
B1 Purple - Rear right +
B2 Purple/black - rear right -

B4 Gray/black - Front right -

The A and B numbers are for the Iso connector blocks.

Thanks Andrew,
I'll try those colours this weekend. Guess I'll have to admit defeat on trying to get fade and balance out of just 2 channels and 4 wires - Wire em in parallel, that will do!
