Can anyone of you hardened Green Laners give me info of G Lanes here in Warwickshire(ie Leamington Spa ,, Warwick Stratford areas) as I have no idea as to where to get any info. My Pal has just got back from living in Florida and asked me where he can go G Ling. As he is already missing his swamping over there. Is there any links on the net?It would be great to here from anyone with the way to go on this one . Cheers Guys Bobbo

I'll see what I can find on GLASS for youin your area, but, meantime, come up to sunny North Wales and have a ride around here, just call, up the tracks most weekends.

Not like the swamps, but, hey, this is Wales.

I'm still trying to find something decent in my local area (North Worcestershire, South Birmingham). There are three that I know of, but they are rather short.

The first one is in Warwickshire and runs from Coughton Ford (Back of Coughton Court on the A435) over to Shelfield by Great Alne. There is also a smaller one which goes through a tasty ford at Great Alne. This might be the route Funmeister goes on, PM him for more details.

The second one runs from Lapworth Village down to the fords in Tapster Valley, then picking up another lane called Tinkers Lane which comes out on the A3400 just south of the M40. The top half from Lapworth is quite easy, but watch out for fly tipped rubbish. The second half (Tinkers Lane) can get very boggy. Take great care when approaching the A3400 end as it is quite a steep back which can be quite slippery.

The last one is very short. It runs from Alderhanger lane (off the A435 near Branson's Cross) to Blind Lane in Aspley Heath. Very easy one, but only ˝ mile.

Felix,

Did you have any luck finding some more good lanes around the area, I'm more South Worcs based, but wouldn't mind finding some more lanes around the area to get the Paj dirty on 8)

I'm going to try and see if there are any lanes across the top of the Cotswolds, Broadway sort of area, I'll let you know if I come up with any if you want?

Carl

Yes, Apparently the lanes Funmeister uses are down by you - White Ladies Aston / Upton Snodsbury way. I have contacted him to try and arrange to go out, but have missed him so far.

I've also got a couple of leads on a couple closer to Brum - more when I know it. Wink

OK, here's some more down Warwickshire way:

Preston Bagot / Lowsonford OS151 GR:178665
Preston Field Lane - Runs between Rookery Lane and Henley Road. Includes a ford. Possibly another nearby.

Temple Balsall OS139 GR: 207766
Runs from Temple Balsall Village to Barston Park Farm. Includes a Ford as well.

Haven't done these yet, so I can't offer any more info. Won't be long though!

@ rikyuu2 - Nice pics on the thread. Coughton and Great Alne by any chance? Went through Great Alne before Christmas - nearly 3' deep - that marker is anything, but accurate! Shocked
