Picked up the new-un yesterday, and twice its conked out after a mile or so. It starts first time from cold, no problems but after a minuite or so running it just dies, even under throttle load.
It eventually restarts and is fine when warmed up, it did it on the road test and the dealer told me he had sorted it. Apart from that i love it, please help before the Missus finds out and kills me.

Howdy,
Good to see another Pajero owner.
If you have a diesel you will finds heaps of info on this problem. A seach will give some leads but some helpful soul will likely provide us with a link to an old thread.
Sounds to me like fuel pump seals, a common complaint. |

HI Matey
If you could give a few extra details of the paj it may be easier to identify the ptoblem, but as said if its a 2.8 then its most likely to be the fuel pump seals, normally cuts out after about 1-2k from first cold start in the morning then is fine for the rest of the day until thenext morning.

Hi Tim & welcome.
Take it back to the Dealer & tell him to sort it, It's not fit for the purpose it was sold for.
The only remedy for this problem is to have the pump seals replaced.
