Hi
The rubber seal on the outside at the bottom of the rear widscreen and top of the red plastic reflector style strip that goes across the whole of the tailgate, has perished and is allowing moisture to get down behind this red tranparent plastic. I spoke to our local Autoglass guy and he reckons it is not part of the window seal. Can I replace this myself or do I have to go to the Mitsu Agent and pay a fortune to get it sorted out. Can anyone help?

well ive waited long enough for some one to respond with the correct answer : so lets guess , presumably you remove the inner trim from inside , remove the screws that retain the red "reflective" panel and the seal is attatched to that - hows that ?
mine is a bit perished from the sun , would be interested in the cost of the new seal , if you do replace let us know how

Do you know where you can get the whole reflector from? Mine has a small hole in! |

Hi Adrian
Did try to reply earlier to your posting, but for some reason it didn'nt work. Yes I tried to get the inner trim of by removing a screw that is in the hand grip apperture at the bottom right hand side of the inner trim and with a screwdriver tried to prise theinner trim off, but it seemed to bee held in place by a series of plastic popperthings and was so difficult to move I was worrid I may dammage the whole lot.
As for Bugg X.
No I don't know where to get a replacement reflector, but I missed getting a complete rear taigate last year on Ebay it went for £10. Unfortunately it was collection only and about 300 hundred miles from where I live.
Cheers all
