Hi, I have collected all the threads together ref the EGR mod plus Trig's final list on how to do the mod into an Adode file called:
Pajero EGR Modification - zip file, 450Kb

If you are using the PoCUK blanking plate, you do NOT need to replace the original gasket!

I hope you find it useful.

C'mon Trig,

Get a move on.... Laughing

BTW..Did mine today ..none of your namby -pamby coke cans either.
1.5 mm aluminium plate, Lets see that baby melt..

Wow ..the amount of crud around the valve was something to behold.

Funny thing though ..When I'd finished I decided to have a look at the small vac pipe.. It had a funny bulge in it..which turned out to be a small steel ball bearing .

Looks like the previous Japanese owner had the same idea.. 8)

I took it for a test spin , it seemed a little more willing to hustle along.
Can't be bad

Joe

Actor, I just realised that the PDF file was attached to the first email. It is a 10-page colourful document listing all posts and photos regarding the EGR valve block.... Great work by Actor Idea Very Happy ... While Actor is trying to send it to a website so everyone can go there and download it... I will try that too Wink
JayCee, I was in a live music concert last night so, thus the delay 8)
.... "When I'd finished I decided to have a look at the small vac pipe.. It had a funny bulge in it..which turned out to be a small steel ball bearing"... That's exactly how my mechanic blocks the EGR valve,... by blocking the pipe with a little steel ball!

Back to the adobe file... it is 698Kb file... I will try to upload it to my website at Photobox... I know they take images only... so I hope they accept a pdf file! Will be back Smile
