27/07/02 purchased 1991 Mk2 2.5tdi SWB Auto Blue over Grey from Winchester 4x4
Found out about CAT 1 and 2 immobilisers.
Fri 9/08/02 day before hols and Speedo starts sticking!
Next two weeks spent driving around the Kent countryside with a sick Speedo.
Sept 02 4x4 garage (name withheld) checked Speedo and said it would need calibrating and I quote ‘the last one I done took 3 to 4 weeks and cost £180, it’s an import you see’. Went away thinking there had to be another way.
March 03. Found the other way, ‘Pajero Owners Club UK’
No posts from me just acted like a sponge and read any and everything, rewarding YES and money saving YES and had a few chuckles to boot. 8)

if so it maybe that they have pushed the needle on too far and it is sticking......just a thought.....

Needless to say spot with the word ‘pushed’.
July 03 failed MOT on the following rear pads low and emissions to high!
Last year’s readings:
Peak 1 3.25
Peak 2 2.98
Peak 3 2.94
Peak 4 2.86
AVERAGE = 2.74 and a pass.
This year (with no adjustments in the last 11 months I might add)
Peak 1 5.44
Peak 2 9.99
Peak 3 8.52
Peak 4 6.92
Peak 5 9.99
Peak 6 9.03
AVERAGE = 8.45 (Blowing soot was the quote to me)
Second thanks goes to Trig for the EGR and pump adjustment instructions and pictures.
Got Peak readings down to:
Peak 1 0.91
Peak 2 0.66
Peak 3 0.74
AVERAGE = 0.77
