Dear all,

Am due to receive a December '92 (K Reg) MKII LWB 2.5TD Super Exceed shortly from Japan.

Anyone know if this this model at this age would have ABS? I've searched the forum, but mostly the answer seems to be "look under the bonnet for....", but as I haven't got my vehicle yet, I can't do this.

Was ABS ever standard at this model/age, or an option?

It doesn't really bother me whether I have it or not, it'd just be nice to know!

Any help appreciated!!

Hi there,

ABS was not standard on this model. I have a 93 LWB Exceed and it does not have ABS. However the brakes are not bad for the size of vehicle.

Thanks - I didn't think it would have ABS, but it was worth asking!

Don't intend to be going that fast in it anyway - it's strictly for comfort, not speed!!

Does anyone know whether ABS was even an available optional extra on '92 / '93 models?

I would also stick my neck out and say Yes, as my late '92 model is equipped with it.
