Hello posted a question in the wrong area yesterday so here i am again , cleaned my egr valve yesterday with the cleaning kit thats available, now the valve is nice and clean sort of new looking and working. when i took the vacum pipe off there was a screw in it to supposedly blank off the valve but i though i would give the valve a chance to work , now got black smoke . So before i replace the screw , ( wasnt smoking before ) is it worth cleaning the fuel system and resetting the govener . Is the smoke caused by excess fuel or is it to do with the valve "recycling " some of the exhaust gasses. thanks , by the way i love my pajero had it about a month or so and just drove it from devon to silverstone and back no problems ( pre doing the valve )went like a dream.
