I'm thinking of putting steel wheels on my Mk1 Paj (white 8 spoke), will the nuts I have on the alloy wheels at present be ok for the steels (ie same seat angle) or will I have to buy new |

On my MkII I am using steel wheels & Alloy type nuts. The spanner monkey who looks after it and the MOT bloke were perfectly happy with it.
It just looks a bit odd... |

on our mk2 we have the standard wheels for road use, and mk1 wheels for off road, the nuts are different. mk2 wheels have bigger holes that the longer nuts go into, plus they have a washer type fitting that goes upto the wheel face the mk1 wheels are domed to fit on the outside surface of the hole no idea which sort go on steel rims |

Thanks for the replies guys, the steels i'm looking at are for a MK1 which is what i've got so I think it's looking good for the nuts to be right, maybe |

Don't give up. There will be more rims.
The aftermarket rims take nuts with a cone face that centers the rims on the studs. I think the OEM nuts are washer faced. |

The cone face is typical for aftermarket rims. I think only the OEM rims are centered by the center hole in the rims. I would also recommend 8" wide rims, with 31 to 33" tyres. |
