Hi Torpetdahood

I'm sorry to hear about your car and its vibrations.

Where does the vibrations come from Question  Question .
If the vibrations are being transmitted through the steering wheel when you are at speed which you are suggesting when you say "when I go in 3rd and above the car vibrates" this could indicate the need for your wheels to be re-balanced which is a job that your local tyre fitter can do.
If that is not the problem I would get your mechanic to looking at the steering rack which I would think is worn rather than being loose.

Please let me know what your machanic says.

Regards

Hi Torpetdahood

Sorry, should have said in my last post. NO there is no need to engage 4 Wheel drive when it rains heavy. I would suggest that you could use 4 wheel drive when you have snow on the ground or when u intend to do a bit of X-country depending on the severity of the ground conditions.

Regards
