Times i read about a coil light that has to go out  before starting ya engine, summink to do with the glow plugs having to  heat up i think.  I've even commented that i aint got one  Confused  Well *beep* me if after  Shocked 2 years it suddenly lights up. Came on for a couple of days and i aint seen it  again since  Confused

Sounds like a loose connection somewhere, but as long as everything works OK and it starts without too much effort... and you're not bothered about it... I wouldn't worry too much! Wink

if its any help mines not got one that comes on either..and neither has my mate labrats.
always seemed odd to me..Id never seen a diesel without a glowplug light before!
but then thats paj's allover...odd!   no two the same and thats why we love them!! Laughing

On my old Mk 1 (2.5 of course) there was no light but you heard the relays drop out - after second relay dropped out you turned the key and she never failed to start!


(Until the engine seized - before one of you lot said it!!)

i took my dash out and had a look the picture is there but no bulb or wireing , how difficult would it be to wire a bulb up on there i already have a manuel on/off diesel glow plug switch in the cab mmmm maybe i will have a go tomorrow after ive stop my sunroof leaking  Mad
