Thanks for the replys, the caravan in question is a 2007 Bessacarr Cameo 645GL which looks rather large next to my Swb Paj, looking at guideines the unit shoud be no more than 85% of the weight of the towing car, Ah just googled this.

Towed an 1800kg Twin with my 2.5 for a few years.

No problems, just take a good book to read for when you go up hill Very Happy

It will be very slow, but will always get there! Unlike my new 3.2 which is very fast but breaks alot!  Embarassed

I found you could tow 6.25 tonne with a 3.5 petrol and accelerate up hill.

The 2.5 is slow with a 1600kg caravan, especially with a head wind but stability wise you cannot fault them, much much better than a Disco.

My Paj is slow even as solo it,s happy at 60mph and will do that uphill downhill etc, i've towed a 950kg unit and tbh it didn't make much difference, the turbo howls a bit but i think it's got plenty of life left
