Best way to improve performance and economy is to increase the power to weight ratio. It's quite difficult to make any significant increase in power without spending loads of money - but you can still improve performance AND MAKE MONEY AT THE SAME TIME to pay for engine mods later on. It's simple - all you need to do is remove all seats (except the driver's) as they way one helluva lot and then post them on ebay. You can go a step further by taking out the carpets. You'll now have an extremely capable 4x4 van. I've seem imrpoveemnts of 20% in power to weight ratio, and a similar increase in fuel economy, and several hundred pounds in the back.

OK, my seats are out, anyone want to buy them?

So that's 100Kg saved, bull bars didn't save much, what's that, a 7% reduction? If only I could reduce the drag I'd be looking at getting 25mpg Very Happy
