Ok,  My Pahero is due a service but due to a big vet bill for my horse recently I cannot afford to gt it done for a few months so was wondering how easy it would be to do it yourself and what sort of things should be done.

My brother is a mechanic so will try and get him to help.

I do all my own servicing. You will save ALOT of money doing your own work, and unless you have a new car warranty to adhere to then it is just too costly to take to a dealer!!

What I do -

They are like a tractor underneath - heaps of grease nipples, give them a couple of pumps incl driveshafts, ball joints, steering joints.

Depends how many km's it is but at a minimum,

Change Engine oil & filter
Check diff and gearbox levels with a bit of bent wire in the filler holes.
Check air filter
Check water, brake, clutch, P/S levels

Then other times,

Whenever I have the wheels off I check brake pads - 4WDing tends to wear them out faaast.
Adjust the handbrake whenever it doesn't work properly - every month  Rolling Eyes  - stoopid design.
Every couple years Change brake & clutch fluid.
Re pack Front wheel bearings once a year

And of course other things I can't just think of on top of my head but would remember when I look at the vehicle or open the bonnet!
