we took mine and a mates paj's for pitman arm recall today, all went well till I got in my mates to start the  drive home and noticed the steering wheel was about a quarter turn out while traveling in a straight line. So did a U-turn and went back to the mits dealer. The plonk on the service desk tryed to tell me that it must have been like that when it came in or the tracking must be out Shocked  Shocked  Shocked . After I told him he was talking total rubish (to put it politely)he said oh ok I will have it looked at.
15 minutes later it was all sorted..
seems strange that they did 2 pitman arms at the same time and did one correct and one not.. oh well got there in the end, best of all it was FREE

Well the dealer was actually right in what they did Shocked

Seriously they don't even get paid for the work done as its a recall .and they are not obliged to alter the steering wheel back to the correct posistion ..I didn't know this  Embarassed until I talked with Ivor Green and waynec

When changing Pitmans, you line up the line on the arm with the one on the box, if a Pitman has been changed B4 and put in wrong place - then it will be out when put right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
