we did but got fed up with cleaning all the bits and pieces afterwards, a real chore however after our new caravan neighbours used theirs this weekend for absolutely everything!, they say they just mainly wipe it over and not scrub it clean as we did, it made us think again about digging it out of it's hiding place
anyone have any tips on easy cleaning of their cadac?
cheers

yes an excellent bit of kit but so many bits to scrub clean afterwards, that's the one drawback

I had mine on the go this weekend, use it all the time for frying, bbqing, even boiling if I need to.
For the full kit I paid £99 off that auction site, I can even fry eggs on mine, it the dogs, very easy to use and the cover makes it easy to cook anything! |

Got fed up of mine, so i bought a new one last month which is a new version called the "2 cook". Its a stove style, flat and griddled plate, one on each side, both recessed so no drips of fat, lift off to clean, brilliant.
And weighs nothing. |

I love my Cadac...... Use it ALL the time... !!! Bit pricey though, I bought mine from a dealer who was going bust (but never did in the end) so got a £170 Cadac package for £99.....
One golden Cadac rule, Don't let the fat collector pan fill with oil/fat...
Ours did and it cought light!
Only way to put flames out was gas off and wait 20 mins!, Made a mess of the fat catching pan but after a clean and internal paint you'd never know! |

yeh we love cooking on the cadac.
we use teflon non stick cooking sheet, a doddle to use and no cleaning afterwards.
cheap at home bargains if you are lucky enough to have one out your way !!!! |

To clean easier, turn heat down low and pour on a little vinegar, watch out for smoke, use a wooden spatula just to loosen around, put on some hot soapy water, when hot turn off heat and rub around with a sponge til clean. Job done!! |
