This was a problem at the data center in London that has affected the range of ip addresses of the servers, (including ours), in a specific range :

http://www.hosteurope-status.com/

System Status

8th April 2004 - 13:12 PM: London Connenctivity.

We have just experienced a brief connectivity issue in the last ten minutes based at our London Data Centre (IP addresses starting with 217.199).

Our engineers are investigating this issue presently, however our systems are now running normally again.

Update - 13:25: We appear to still be having some intermittent connectivity problems to our London Data Centre. We shall post an update on this page with further information shortly.

Update - 13:27: The connectivity is due to an issue with one of our routers. Our system-administrators are addressing this currently.

Update - 13:57: Our engineers are still working on this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience caused thus far. We do not yet have an estimated time for a resolution, but will update this page again at 1415

Update - 14:15: Work is still in progess. We shall keep this page updated every 15 minutes (or sooner is more information is available)

Update - 14:30: Issues still persisting. Our engineers will shortly be providing an update directly to this page.

Update - 14:42: The fault is related to our core router which our engineers are addressing at the moment. Again, we apolosise for the downtime and any inconvenience this has caused. Please be assured that all our engineers are working on this as top priority to have all systems returned to normal. Further updates shall again be posted every 15 minutes.

Update - 15:00: Intensive work is still in progress to resolve this issue

Update - 15:15: Our engineers have isolated some further causes for the outage and addressed these. We have received some positive results following these, however we are still continuing to monitor these changes and address the initial faults. Further updates to follow

It should all be OK now.

Regards,

Simon.
