The transfer box appears to be stuck in 4wd, had it in LC and it dropped out of that
but the lever seems stuck in 4wd and doesn't want to move.

Any ideas ??........................Or am I screwed ?? Crying or Very sad

not uncommon old chap............if you use the search engine with "4wd AND lever AND stuck" you should read that you may have to take the central console apart to get to the linkage which is wots probably stuck..............assuming you've been trying every other manoeuvre to fee it Shocked

Thanks a lot to all who replied. Sorted it. I was a little concerned for a while.

The hardest thing was getting the ruddy console out. It needs the lever in the
2wd position to slide it out. But the lever won't go into the 2wd position, that's
why we're taking the console out in the first place.

After that, there's six 10mm bolts holding the second rubber gator down. Under
that there's four 12mm bolts holding the lever. Undo those and just re-locate the
the lever back into the slot....................................Easy peasy !!

Took a couple of piccies

the oily side of the offending lever

The offending slot !!

Thanks again guys........I'm happy again now !!
