Stick yer plonker finger in it Al, If it tingles, it's 12v,  If you bang yer head on the caravan wall as you get thrown across it, it isn't   Laughing

get yasen a multimeter from B&Q under a tenner, that way you'll know without pain if it's 12v or 230v, my money's on 12v. and you'll have it ready for next time

basically a stereo has a wire for positive, a wire for negative and then either 4 or 8 speaker wires and maybe a wire for electric aerial which you not need

if ya struggle ta get it working bring it all ta MM inc some wire and we'll sort it

Just out of interest, why are you going for a car stereo?

You can get some pretty good slim normal cd/stereos now, or why not a dvd player, and a surround sound system, then link it up to your freeview box and satellites  - all just plug into 240v socket then...

I guess a car stereo is neatest and smallest though ...  until you slap some subwoofers and power amps on !! Laughing
