Posted: Wed Jun 09, 2010 16:07 Post subject: Nicks funeral arrangements ** UPDATE ** |
|
|
******Nicks funeral is on Thursday 24th June at 13:45******
amendment of time Funeral is now 13.15
I know many members will want to pay their respects to Nick, a friendly and very popular man .
Kath has asked for any condolence cards to be sent to me and I shall forward them on.Please PM me and I will gladly pass you my address.
Could all donations please be made via paypal to me at madgefarr@aol.com Thank you. Please put your user name when donating and put it has a personal payment to avoid pay pal charges.
The money donated will buy a wreath and the remainder shall be passed onto Kath.
I have spoken to Kath and she agrees that Nick (being the bubbly character he was) would want ALL his POCUK family attending his funeral
If members are thinking of saying farewell in person could they please:
1 Not wear traditional funeral clothing, please don your POCUK top if you own one.
2 If at all possible can members get their Pajeros as dirty as possible, just the way Nick likes em
3 Make sure your horn is working LOUD
4 celebrate Nicks LIFE on this special day,
We plan on meeting at Apedale country Park in Chesterton, A place where Nick and Kath walked their 2 dogs Ralph and Rosie.
There is a cafe that will supply us all with a "cheesy oatcake" and a cup of tea. This is your chance to have a taste and see what Nick was allways harknig on about.
We will then travel, under police escort, to the local Methodist church with lights on and horns honking, Mark Dale is going to supply black ribbons, posters of Nick and a MP3 with a few of Nicks favorite tunes on to don our vehicles. All for a small donation.
From there we travel to the crematorium and then onto a get together at a local club.
I know this is a sad time for us all, but you know Nick would not have wanted us to mope around and be sad
We should try and lift our spirits and give Nick a proper jolly send off that he truly deserves
I would immagine Nicks Funeral will not take palce until at least the week after next.
If you want to attend Nicks Farewell please show your interest here.
Thanks
Jase
