A strange one this. I went green laning the other week and found that the height of the sport is not great and the car did rumble along at points on the rocks etc.

I did notice that there are 2 very long bars coming from (I think) the front subframe area that secure under the drivers seat. These have (had) rubber boots on which have obviously now been damaged from the laning exercise.

My question is, are they essential to be covered up. From what I can see, the bar just goes straight through a mounting and has a nut on the other side. Will they need ot be replaced, if so, how urgent is it and is it a big job??

I can take a piccie if it would help identify the part(s) concerned.
