I'm about to buy an 02 Shogun Sport 2.5TD and I hope to be able to run it on Biodiesel. I've been making it very successfully for the last year or so and running my TD5 Landrover on it without a hitch.

Simple question - Can the injectors, pumps etc cope with Biodiesel or, even better, straight veg oil?

Cheers

Richard

Hi and welcome Richard.
If it is well made bio
Passes 3/27 and soap test it will be perfect for you.
Evan if it dose not pass the 3/27 it should be no problem as the the pajero is tolerant with oil.

Thanks guys.

This is a return to the world of Shoguns. I had a 1995 2.8td which I loved but sold once I realised that the front end was about to explode. I looked at the [then] challenger but didn't like the set up and wanted a 'proper' offroader.  Since then I've had a Blitz4x4 Zook based kit, Accord Tourer and now a LR Defender 90. I also have a Volvo ex mil 6x6 which is fun off road Cool

I've just blagged a massive quantity of wvo so bio-compliant is a must.

When you say biodiesel.
Is that proper maid bio, passing the 3/27 & water tests and demethed.
I am only saying this as i have heard some people are doing a blend of oil and solvents and calling it bio.
Are you making your own bio, what method are you using.
I am now making bio using the graham lamings Eco friendly processor,(the safe one)

To answer your question if it is properly made bio, yes
