|
|
It's got to that exciting time of year, this saturday i'm off to cornwall with the caravan for a week away.
It's the first holiday with my baby son and the first time towing with my pajero.
It's only a 1050kg van and the paj is a LWB 2.8TD manual so it should tow like there's nothing there, i'm just a bit concerned about engine temperature cos i don't realy know the car yet.
My last towcar was a BMW 328 estate which towed well but got a little hot under load so maybe i'm just a bit paranoid.
Next challenge is putting the awning up for the first time. |

Unfortunately there's no time to sort the cooling system, those people who pay my wages insist i attend everyday. Every-bluddy-day!!!
I'll have to risk it and keep my peepers on the hot gauge. |

We've just got back from our caravan trip all in one piece.
The pajero towed very well and the hot gauge didn't bother me at all, it didn't like the hills very much but the cruise control made it a very relaxing drive.
Shame about the weather but this is Britain i suppose.
I've got to sort out the oil leak cos the grass where we parked is now polka dotted, and the front wheels squeek like a *beep* but that's the joys of older cars. |
