2.4 petrol pajero

Hey. i have a 2.4 pajero (petrol) and its stopped on me.. it'll start and run for about 20 seconds and then cut out.. it seems like a fuel pump problem. can anybody let me know if they've had this problem and also where is the fuel pump located.

i think the pump is in the fuel tank on the 2.4 16v petrol paj

if you lift up the boot carpet you will find an inspection cover that is removable to give you access to the tank



before you start digging try starting the car with the fuel cap off.


does it restart ok then cut out again, or is there lots of spluttering?
