cheers, we're easy-on - we'll go with the flow, we're up for it if it's suitable for novices, but if places are taken, we're happy to entertain oursleves.

How about.... I take a novice group out on Saturday on nice easy hand picked lanes, much like the ones on the treasure hunt a few years back ?
I'm easy because we are going out on Sunday and maybe Monday if the fuel lasts  Laughing
Its more food for Friday as I for one dont want to see anybody miss out  Very Happy

Like big j says, No shops or toilets Shocked  The men can use trees. We will be passing a few pubs along the way so if the ladies let the group leaders know, they can stop why you use their facilities.

Make sure you have enough food, drink and fuel for the day. Wink

The moderate group will be going down Roych clough, The use of rocks, waffles and a great deal of care will stop you bending anything. Its not realy suitable for novices though Laughing

The routes are long. But no one has to finish the route if they dont want to. You`r free to leave whenever  you`v had enough Laughing
I just wanted to make sure there was enough for the die hards Razz  Laughing

If anyone wants to take markymoan up on his offer on his novice run. Can you sort it on friday night?

We just need to make sure we have enough leaders for those that want go laning Very Happy

denjo, any chance of updating the lists mate. Question

not to tread on anyones toes, but:-
just a note to any newbies to laning (and to skids Rolling Eyes ) and especially if you have children with you, pack plenty to eat and drink as there is hardly any time to stop for supplies and this includes fuel too Wink , the laning usually takes several hours to cover, and i doubt you will go within a mile of a toilet Confused  so the nearest bush will have to do Laughing , be prepared, so unless denjo knows otherwise, you have been warned. Shocked

What you saying John? Mandy always packs more food when she knows we are with you Laughing

You won't need one, firstly 99% of aerials are already trimmed to length and secondly even a badly matched one will give you enough range for what we do, you are talking to people in cars you can see so range is not an issue....

See ya Saturday

I have a SWR meter, will try to remember to bring it along.  Worst thing that will happen with very poorly matched antenna is it will damage the radio, but it has to be way out and the radio used a lot.
