Hey I hope this will get stickied. The part numbers for the 3.5 GDI micro filters are
md619962 for the filter
mb554317 for the o ring
Guide here (not mine) http://www.forafters.co.uk/shogun-2001-fuel-problem.pdf
Took me no longer than 30 mins |

Got one yesterday from Stirling but not the 'O' ring.
Seems to have done the trick.
Bit of a footer to replace it though!! |

Can anyone please provide me with dimensions for the mb554317 for the o ring? The local stockist do not have it. I did get 9 micro filters at about GBP 1.50 each. |

that is the correct number for the micro filters.
for me however the o-rings were not the correct ones.
i am referring to my 2001 3.5 petrol GDI RHD LWB.
ref the diagrams found on the net (cant post link as not allowed by forum) the o-ring part number is MD341973
this is the o-ring that seals the fuel delivery line between the rail and high pressure fuel pump (the part where the micro-filters live) |

Anyone changed the microfilters and got a problem with slightly high pressure of the fuel coming out the high pressure pump. This kicks the engine management light on. I have got this problem on mine but dont know what to do next. The dealer wants me to change the fuel pump but wont get much change from a grand so not that keen to do that unless its the last resort. |

The "sticky" reference to the filter parts has now been hacked by a porno-gizmo site! None of their offerings look like they would solve the problem I seem to have been experiencing with my 1998 GDI-V6 3500!
Anyone have another link to this information? I am miles away from any MItsubishi dealers here in the Caribbean island of Anguilla! |

As I have done a tad of investigation on how and what to use as a modification item fuel filter in lieu of the 97 model fuel filter I have located some parts
http://www.hengst-katalog.de/en/filter/1077200000/00/H236WK
That is an OEM supplier to Mitsubishi. It also gives you the in and out thread sizes. I couldn't find a metric to metric adaptor for the output end but a decent chap at earls recommended an AN size -6 I think that will go in (I'll edit this if its wrong)
All in I think this mod cost me £25 |

Just thought I'd mention that you can buy the micro-filters from mrinjector.co.uk at about half the Mitsi price. They are the 6mm x 14mm version. They are also found in the top of each fuel injector so you would require 8 for a full set. |
