At last after a month or so I've had an email confirming my Pajero is on the pitman arm recall list, so I'm booking it in for the new part to be done today !! |

finally got the pitman arm replaced today , on arriving at the garage the service manager said it wont take long a couple of hours so i said i will wait, six and a half hours later i got my truck back when i asked why so long they said it had welded itself to the car via the rust *beep* and dirt . before i tried the thread for the recall i was going to do this myself on the drive so glad i didnt now , nowing me as i do i would have totally lost the plot and have a lot of spares on e blag with a lot of hammer marks lol |

I am still waiting for them to get back to me. Three weeks.
I have another steering box and pump waiting to go on, so I want it done first so I get the part and can swap it over.
Don't want to refit the old one to the new box and then have them knacker the seal doing the swap, as others have experienced!
I am not going to bother them as I know it is the Japanese end that is dealing with these things, and they have got a lot on.
Prayers with them all!

Toomeys did mine about 4/5 years ago, before I came to Guyana, Very good, free coffee as well took around 2 Hrs. But saw and heard much heavy hammering, my poor little girl
Dont forget to check the steering wheel alignment before you leave, I assuume like most of these things they wont fix if youve been away, you could have fiddled yourself meantime. as if we would.
I'm suprised so many out there not done yet, |
