Here's an interesting one.

Previous to the Shogun i had a Citroen Berlingo van (commercial vehicle)

Anyroadup, i contacted insureyourmotor.com and asked to change the berlingo to the shogun and use my no claims. I was told it can't be done, you can't move no claims to private car from commercial, industry wide standard procedure, it can't be done.

I explained that in 2009 i had transferred my no claims from car to commercial no problem and was basically called a liar!!!!Shocked  Then they quoted me £1000 to insure the Shogun! Shocked  Shocked

After telling them to shove it i spoke to One Insurance who originally did the transfer back in 2009 and the agreed to do it, no problem, WITH THE SAME UNDERWRITER AS THE VAN! Laughing  Laughing

Still not as cheap as i'd like but i'll have a look at Adrian Flux next year.

I went to Adrian Flux when I bought my Paj couple weeks ago and got:
- through Google search £850
- over the phone £1400  Shocked

John (johndps) gave me a tip to check Sky Insurance - £677 Happy man  Very Happy

We will see who's best next year.

I went to Adrian Flux for a quote after reading the review here..

They quoted me £750..  Shocked  Laughing  Shocked

My existing insurance is £609 and there was me thinking it would be near £500 odd (going by the reviews by most of you)

I was told apparently as the car is parked on a street infront of my house and not the driveway, its expensive.

Gave them a very good, only reason i didnt give them an excellent is because they couldnt quote me less than i was on before for my Mitsubishi FTO.

Just out of curiosity and a reference from a few members i filled in their online form and 8am the next morning they called me back to run everything through, they came in at £1300, with key cover, breakdown, personal accident cover, the nearest quote i got was £3300 from admiral!. they were also very friendly and agreed to contact me by phone if they needed to change anything regarding my policy which is essential as i work away from my home address for months at a time (whereas admiral insisted on using post only, the less said about the colossal f*ck-up that resulted the better)

not bad considering im 20 years old and had a shunt last year, im 21 in a few weeks and will try them again to see if they can do my FTO for any lower.

That's strange, I would challenge that. If you are not accepting liability and I don't understand why they are paying unless you hit someone from behind?

i am challenging it,ive spoken to the ombudsman and a solicitor today, legal proceedings will be starting if they pay out......i think the only reason behind it is the insurance company through flux is called grouprama and they are being or going through a buy out with a company called aegis Exclamation

Be wary of FluxDirect (Adrian Flux) Insurance Services, just cancelled my policy with them and got stung big style with their outrageously excessive cancellation charges, I'll never recommend them to anyone or go near them again!!!!!! (Had to cancel the policy as sold the car insured and their quote for new car was out of this world)
