Not really, they let the gases escape under heavy uses but make a lot more noise. Just buy good quality discs and pads |

You will need the correct pads for them as they actually have less friction contact area and if you use standard pads with them your braking will be slightly worse and you won't notice this until you are in an emergency situation.
Craig is spot on, and to generate these gases you would need to be driving it like a racing car to get the benefit as the original brakes were over engineered to cope with both road and off road driving. |

As Per Steve Minted and Brembo are good. My choice is Pagid, which you can get from Euro Car Parts discounted. If you’re doing the job yourself and still use copper grease then I recommend getting a tube of Ceratec grease, it’s longer lasting and performs better.
If you’ve not changed the brake recently then get that done at the same time. |

I would avoid Brembo disks, they rust very quickly and mine warped - Pagid ones are much better quality in my experience. |

It’s for the brake pads where they make contact with the piston and carrier i.e. backs of the pads and edges. You can also use it on the slider pins. |

No, never use it on the slider pins as it is a high temperature coating and not actually any good for the slider pins.
Use silicone grease on the slider pins and the pistons. |

I don’t disagree with the use of silicon grease but Ceratec is fine on sliding pins.

Cera Tec Anti-Squeal Lubricant. Mintex Ceratec
Non-Metalic anti-squeal lubricant for brake systems. Cera Tec protects against scratching and corrosion and perfectly lubricates to help prevent squealing. Helps during brake assembly.
Use in place of copper slip during brake assembly. Resistant to heat. No metallic content so will not affect ABS sensors. High temperature rating.
75ml
Advantages of Cera Tec:
Heat Resistant up to 1000oC
Non Conductive
Contains no solid sonstiuents
Suitable for anti-lock braking systems
Facilitates brake installation
Reduces brake noise
Protects against scoring and corrosion
Free of copper and acids
Ceratec should be used on caliper slides where the pad makes contact, caliper sliding pins and on the pad back where it contacts the piston. This will keep the pads sliding freely and help prevent any unwanted squeal |
