Hello all,
Im going to order myself some 15" steel rims and 33 12.50 15 mt tyres very soon Very Happy  but as they probably stick out of my standard arches I need to extend for mot reasons. So where can I get a set of arch extensions, how much typically? And what thickness rubber matting are you guys using for the diy versions out there?

Thanks

Dan

Got mine off E-bay about £50 per set. cut them to length and riveted them to the underside of the arches, and now legally cover my 12.5" wide tyres.

Hi, post is very old but my question is what sort of flared fenders did you use to extend existing arches? I want to do exactly the same.
Thanks for your help.

It looks like he has just used some rubber strip and fastened it to the underside of the wheel arch.

That’s what I think.
I was told that company Devon 4x4 sell similar stripes,
just professionally trimmed.
I will have a look.
Thank you for your reply anyway.

Or use some rubber belting

Ha, thank you mate.
I will go for Amazon rubber bands as they look a bit more professional.
I will post pictures when job is done.
Thank you soooo much !
Btw, it looks like you are good with all this tricks. I am struggling to find out what sort of roof cross bars and fittings I need for my truck. It’s Pajero mk2 swb neither roof railings nor rain gutters. It’s just plain roof with black plastic stripes on both sides. Under those stripes there is no mounting brackets, threaded bolts etc.
If you know anything about it please let me know.

Regards

Mine was a LWB and roof rails were not fitted to LWBs.

I adapted some from a Vectra estate but that was a big job.

On the SWB you should be able to find some rails, maybe from a scrap yard. Someone else on here should know how they are fastened on.

Thanks for your help. I read about fitting original roof railings.
Probably the best solution.
Cheers
