|
|
Hello all, anyone have an idea as to what my problem may be with my 95 3.5L Pajero imported from Japan. Issue when under load at higher speeds ie 60km or higher, it hesitates alot, feels like I am taking
my foot off of the gas often. Here is what i have done so far, cleaned injectors, replaced fuel filter, spark plugs, coils, mass air flow sensor, timing belt, it only has 63000kms and besides this is a perfect truck. Any ideas would
be greatly appreciated.
None of what i have done above has fixed the problem, i also run the higher grade fuel with an octane booster,

Throttle position sensor ? Ignition fault ? Coil stalks under the coil packs are a favourite. |

codes have not been read, correct me if i'm wrong i was under the impression that being it was imported from Japan our obd2 readers cannot read the fault codes, if this is correct is their an obd2 reader i can purchase that will read this vehicle, also is there a downloadable repair manual available that i can access.

Ah - replied to your other post
Correct - a 1995 Japanese car won't have OBD2, or anything compatible. You'll need a Mitsubishi specific ODB code reader. |

The US Montero is 99% the same as a Pajero - main difference is that it's left hand drive and no diesel versions.
If you do a search on Google for Montero manuals, you'll find one for your year. And with yours being petrol, it'll be a pretty good match |

and before I forget to mention, the hesitation is gradually getting worse as well if that helps with a diagnosis |

You will get downloadable manuals here,
http://www.mitsubishilinks.com/
They are huge pdf files so take a while to download |
