Cheers Rick, and do you know why the propper injector sockets have one side of them cut away? is it so if the top nuts turn the whole injector the injector can be help while the nut is accessed through the hole in the socket?

some injectors have a sensor wire on them mate and the slot in the socket is to slide the cable through my volvo v40 has this type but being the tight sod i am if i ever undo it i would use a 22mm ring spanner  Wink  Smile .
but the mitsubishi injectors come out just fne using a standard injector socket .

What's involved with changing injectors? I have some for my model 2.8, so I assume they are setup correctly just need swapping over? How is this done? Anything I need to care about? Are they self bleeding after?

pull em out, screw em in, pump the fuel primer a few times till hard and jobs a goodun i expect.

Obviously to "pull em out" you need to undo the fuel pipe nuts, remove the leak off pipe that runs from injector to injector then un screw them, being bloody carefull not to drop anything down the hole before you fit new one in its place.

Am I correct in thinking that as long as I have been given the right injectors, then they should be setup correctly for mine?
